The picture just doesn't do the beauty of this layout justice. The bottom portion of the page uses a faux leather technique that is so awesome in person. We made a card using the technique and the ladies love it so much we just had to duplicate it on a layout that would last forever!

I was swamped in July so my good, talented, wonderful, sweet friend Erin offered to design my Page of the Month for me. Didn't she do an awesome job??!?!?!?! So glad I could tell my stampers that it was Erin's fault that they had to do so much cutting, lol.
I love celebrating Fourth of July so every year we create a fun sparkly scrapbook page to capture the memories of the picnics and fireworks.
When I went back to see what Page of the Month layouts I've posted I was shocked! I missed almost all of 2010! No wonder you guys said I was missing in action! I'm going to get caught up on these because we've made some really beautiful pages. Though some of the papers and stamps may be retired, you can still use the layouts to spark your imagination. Think of these as springboard templates. Don't forget that you can join our Page of the Month Club to create these layouts for your own scrapbook album.

It features the Build a Blossom (121923) stamp set and the Blossom Petals Punch (121808). This stamp set coordinated with the Afternoon Tea DSP so well that I just had to pull the paper out of retirement! Here's a close-up of the scallop flower squares:
They look so pretty and soft in person.
Okay, so at my downline meeting last week I was scolded more than once for not updating my blog. It's true, I am not good at keeping this thing current, but I wish I had more time to do so. I'm not going to make any more promises that I'll break, so let's just say that I'll try harder! Here's the layout we did for the February Page of the month kit:
It features the Party This Way stamp set (118744) and the Celebrations DSP (117164). I took the picture before I finished adding the string through the flags, but you get the idea. Maria wanted to match a couple other pages she did for her daughter's birthday so we changed the colors for her:

The Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' kit is one of my favorites out of the 2009-1010 Idea Book. As soon as I saw it, I knew we'd be using it for our Page of the Month Club. Look at the three layouts we created using one Simply Scrappin' kit, some embellishments and just a little bit of extra cardstock! That's 6 pages out of one kit. In my book, the Simply Scrappin' kits are one of the best bargains Stampin' Up! has to offer.
If you're wondering why December's Page of the Month isn't a holiday layout, for Page of the Month we work one month in advance. The January layout is usually celebrates a birthday rather than a New Year's page. This month I used the Happy B-day Simply Scrappin' kit designer paper that I had left over from the Happy B-day Stamp-a-Stack kit and featured the Just Perfect Alphabet stamp set. In my opinion, you can never have too many alphabet stamp sets if you like to scrapbook. We also used the Big Shot Alphabet Simple letters that have become a huge favorite of my scrapbook club. Notice how we punched up the letters just by adding some highlight lines with a white gel pen.
