Peaceful Poppies Suite

The Peaceful Poppies Suite features one of the most beautiful bundles of products I have ever seen from Stampin' Up! Lasting Lily Card of the Month - Design 4

For this card you will need:

• Lasting Lily and Crackle Paint stamp set
• Gorgeous Grape, Basic Gray, Highland Heather, and Memento Black inkpads
• Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker
• Whisper White (4" x 5-1/2" x 2 and 1/2" x 3-1/4") and Basic Black ( and 4" x 5-1/2" and 5-1/2" x 8-1/2") cardstock
• Basic Gray watercolor pencil
• Pinewood Planks
• Black Faceted Dots, Rhinestones or Pearls
• SNAIL adhesive

Directions:

1. Stamp lily petal images in Gorgeous Grape ink on one of the white cardstock pieces. Using a sponge in a circular motion shade around edges of the card in Gorgeous Grape ink leaving an open circle area in the center.  Sponge around the inside edge of the open circle area lightly with Highland Heather ink, once again leaving a small area of white in the center around the lilies.
2. Flick water around the edges of the card to create water drop effect. Allow to dry completely. (You may want to add weight over the card to reduce curling while drying)
3. Stamp stem and leaves images in Memento Black ink.
4. Over stamp the lily flower images in Basic Gray ink.
5. Use a gray watercolor pencil randomly to add detail lines and shading to the edges of the lilies; blend slightly with Aqua Painter.
6. When dry, color the flower spadix with Basic Gray marker.
7. Add texture to the right and left edges of the card with Pinewood Planks embossing folder.
8. Cut cards into random rectangular shapes. Back shapes with black cardstock; trim.
9. Stamp small white cardstock strip with sentiment of choice in Memento Black ink. When dry, trim ends into points.
10. Stamp remaining white cardstock piece with Crackle Paint background stamp in Basic Gray ink.
11. Finish cards as shown, adding rhinestones, faceted dots, or pearls to the right and left rectangles.

Lasting Lily Card of the Month - Design 3

For this card you will need:

• Lasting Lily stamp set
• Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove, Basic Black, and Memento Black inkpads
• Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker
• Whisper White (4" x 5-1/4" and 5-1/2" x 8-1/2") cardstock
• Basic Gray watercolor pencil
• Aqua Painter
• 14" ribbon
• SNAIL adhesive

Directions:

1. Stamp lily petal images in Smokey Slate ink on the small white cardstock piece and Post-it notes to create masking pieces. Trim out Post-it note lilies.
2. Mask over the lilies with Post-it note pieces. Sponge the entire front of the card umbra style with Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove, and Basic Black ink using a swiping, upwards motion over the card, do not dab. Remove masking.
3. Flick water around the edges of the card to create a water drop effect. Allow to dry completely. (You may want to add weight over the card to reduce curling while drying)
4. Stamp stem, leaves, and sentiment images in Memento Black ink.
5. Use an Aqua Painter and watered down Crushed Curry ink to shade the inside of the lilies. When dry, color the flower spadix with Crushed Curry marker.  Over stamp the lily flower images in Smokey Slate ink.
6. Use the watercolor pencil lightly and randomly to add detail lines and shading to the edges of the lilies; blend slightly with Aqua Painter.
7. Finish cards as shown.

Lasting Lily Card of the Month - Design 2

For this card you will need:

• Lasting Lily stamp set
• Real Red, Smoky Slate, Grapefruit Grove, and Memento Black inkpads
• Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker
• Shimmery White (3" x 5-1/4"), Whisper White (3-1/2" x 5-1/4", 3/4" x 3-1/4"), Basic Black (4" x 5-1/4"), and Smoky Slate (3-1/4" x 5-1/4", 5-1/2" x 8-1/2") cardstock
• Basic Black watercolor pencil
• Aqua Painter
• SNAIL adhesive

Directions:

1. Stamp sentiment of choice on the small white cardstock strip in Memento Black ink. Set aside to dry.
2. Stamp lily petal images in Real Red ink at the top of Shimmery White cardstock piece. When completely dry, use an Aqua Painter and Grapefruit Grove ink to lightly color over the inside of the images.  Allow to dry and over-stamp the images with Smokey Slate ink.
3. Stamp stem images in Memento Black ink.
4. Stamp leaves and lily images in Smokey Slate ink. 
5. Use a black watercolor pencil randomly to add detail lines and shading to the edges of the lilies; blend in slightly with Aqua Painter.
6. When COMPLETELY dry, color the flower spadix with Basic Black marker.
7. Finish card as shown.

Lasting Lily Card of the Month - Design 1

I had so much fun designing with the new Sale-a-Bration Lasting Lily stamp set.  Can you believe this is a stamp set that you can only get for free!?!?!?  Wowza!  Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.

For this card you will need:

• Lasting Lily and Gorgeous Grunge stamp set
• Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove (I used Only Orange), Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana (I used Tempting Turquoise), Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, and Memento Black inkpads
• Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker
• Whisper White (3-3/4" x 5"), Basic Black (4" x 5-1/4"), and Pacific Point (5-1/2" x 8-1/2") cardstock
• Old Olive watercolor pencil
• Water
• SNAIL adhesive

Directions:

1. Stamp lily petal images in Crushed Curry ink on the small white cardstock piece and Post-it notes. Trim Post-it note petals and mask over stamped images.
2. Using a circular motion (not dabbing) sponge over the entire card with Crushed Curry, Grapefruit Grove, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, and Pacific Point inks creating a rainbow effect. Remove masking and flick water around the edges of the card to create water drop effect. Allow to dry completely. (You may want to add weight over the card to reduce curling while drying)
3. Stamp stem images, leaves, and sentiment in Memento Black ink.
4. Over-stamp the lily flower images in Pear Pizzazz ink, stamped off once.
5. Use the Old Olive watercolor pencil lightly to randomly to add detail lines and shading to the edges of the lilies; blend slightly with Aqua Painter.
6. When dry, color the flower spadix with Calypso Coral marker.
7. Stamp Gorgeous Grunge splatter dot image in Whisper White ink over the entire card, except the lily flower petals.
8. Finish card as shown.

April 2011 Card of the Month - Fast & Fabulous

For the April Card of the Month and Stamp Camp we used the wonderful Fast & Fabulous Hostess set.  Not fair to use a Hostess set, but honestly I liked it so much I couldn't resist.  The good news is that my clients did too, so we'll be getting together for stampin' even more this month at the workshops they booked.  Yay...  more stampin' friends to meet!  Another advantage of being a Card of the Month Club member is that you have the opportunity to get Hostess sets throughout the year too.

January 2011 Card of the Month Filled with Love and Love Impressions DSP

If you haven't checked out the Mojo Monday blog for design inspiration you may want to do that.  There's hundreds of card templates and thousands of samples using the designs on display.  It's an awesome site!  I used these templates for the cards above and I'm really happy with the way the cards turned out:

April 2010 Petal Party Stamp-a-Stack

Cheryl Wilcox and I got together to design some fun, colorful cards out of the Petal Party Simply Scrappin' Kit.  By request of my wonderful, beautiful, sweet friend, Beth Stokes, we are using these designs for this month's Card of the Month and Stamp Camp.
