For the past seven years I was working an average of 50-60 hours a week in the corporate world and still trying to keep my Stampin' Up! demonstratorship going. It was crazy and I spent many a night without much sleep trying to design projects and prepare all the kits. I cut thousands of pieces of cardstock and yards and yards of ribbon, counted out numerous buttons or brads, and stressed over each design. My co-workers would ask me why I did it. Did I need the money? That question always made me laugh out loud because I always considered this "business" as a non-profit for me. I never did this for the money. Oh, don't me wrong, I enjoy the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. The free products, seeing everything that's coming in advance, and most of all the places we've been able to travel to around the world have been awesome! While it is certainly possible to make money as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, that was never my reason for continuing what I do. For me, Stampin' Up! and Stamp Camps are about relationships and the friends I have been blessed to make over the years. When I look at my life today, I met 90% of my closest friends (some who are like sisters to me) through Stampin' Up! These are people that I can't even imagine my life without today. I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to meet so many women that may someday become one of my adopted sisters. You never know where life will take you, or who you're going to meet. I consider Stamp Camp as a day with the girls full of laughter, fun, and friendship (that includes a bonus of M&M's and Diet Coke) with a little stampin' on the side. It's my joy, my creative outlet, something I look forward to each month, and the thing that I do for myself. Thank you to all of my loyal stamping friends who continue to bring such happiness into my life and for inviting others to join us each month. I've said before, I could never do this without you, nor would I ever want to.
To the ladies that are part of my Sparkles Stampin' Up! Team...I love you. Having you as part of my family kept me going during the most difficult times. Thank you for everything.
Have an awesome day!
