Okay, I admit it. When it comes to celebrating birthdays, I'm a big kid. I love feeling like it's my special day; getting calls from friends, being treated to lunch at my favorite restaurant, eating a great dinner, cupcakes, treats, cards and presents. I love presents! I love getting presents. I love giving presents.
Today's my birthday and it was a GREAT day. My family and friends really out did themselves spoiling me rotten. I just have to show you what my cubicle at work looked like when I arrived at work this morning. It was awesome. Everything was so bright and colorful that it made me smile all day.
I won't bore you with a picture of every present I received, though each and every one of them were awesome and so appreciated, but I have to share the "creative" ones since this site is all about creativity! On the file cabinet there's a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Those are from Lynn and she picked the flowers from her garden this morning. Look how pretty her arrangement is. I can only imagine how gorgeous her garden must be. Don't you just love the addition of the grapes?
Here's the incredible ice bucket gift Audrey gave me. It's filled with the cutest plates and bowls that I know we'll be using a LOT this summer. Audrey knows that I'm a complete freak when it comes to dishes and couldn't have given me anything I'd like more. She's so great a choosing just the right gift for everyone. If you're a member of my Hostess Club you'll be seeing these first hand at my Hostess Appreciation Reunion this September!
Isn't this fun? Look at all the gluten-free treats too! YUMMY!!!!
And now for the Pièce de résistance from my friend Kdy. First, I have to tell you that I want to be like Kdy when I grow up. She is an amazingly thoughtful, generous, kind, caring friend who has an incredible gift for giving gifts. Though her presents are always perfect, it's her handmade touches and the thought she puts behind even the smallest detail that make them extraordinary. She truly makes me appreciate the power of a gift made from the heart.
This picture doesn't capture how fun this present really is. Each pocket is filled with my favorite candies, gift cards from my favorite stores, balloons, card holders, fresh baked cookies, lottery tickets, my favorite sayings (I love presents!) and thoughts about friendship. Every one finished with fun ribbons and handstamped tags. The most appropriate saying..."friends are like pockets...you can never have too many" Remember that stamp from the Stampin' Up! Pocket Fun stamp set? My co-workers were just as enthralled with this gift as I was. People kept stopping by all day to check out every pocket and take pictures. Kdy, in my opinion this is the best of your best!
I want to thank all of you who made my birthday so incredible. I'm one lucky girl!!! xoxoxox's
I was asked to share some close up's of the pockets, so here they are:
