Last weekend Dennis and I hosted our annual Christmas in July event. It was so much fun! The ladies started arriving at 7:00 p.m. on Friday night and the last person standing left at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday. I'm not saying that I was the last person standing, lol. Friday night the ladies were treated to a banana split bar. I forgot to take a picture, but there were several kinds of ice cream and lots and lots of delicious toppings. I did however take a shot of the candy bars. Afterall, next to the stamping chocolate's most important!
After designing several fun projects, cutting over 10,000 pieces of cardstock and putting together numerous Christmas card kits we were ready for a great weekend slumber party. Saturday morning began with a yummy breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, and yogurt. After all, it's vidal to fuel the body for the excitement of stampin' all day. Then came a delicious soup and salad bar lunch. There were munchies on the table all day, but the party had just begun and the ladies were already feeling pretty full. Here's some snapshots of the buffets:
After a barbecue dinner we topped the night off with chocolate chip cookies and Kdy's delicious cupcakes...banana, s'mores, lemon and Oreo!
The next morning we were up at dawn to start baking our breakfast casseroles and the feeding frenzy began again. I won't bore you with the Sunday menus, but we all felt like we were rolling out the door by the end of the weekend. Weight Watchers would not have been proud of any of us! But the ladies look happy, don't they?
Okay, Dennis and Lexi's picture snuck in there, but they look happy too!
Sorry if you missed the fun this year, but it was great! The ladies have their Christmas cards done, plus they made some extra projects that will be enjoyed for years. Most importantly, we had a weekend full of laughter. New friendships were formed and old friendships renewed. What could be better than that?
