February 2010 Page of the Month - Vintage Vogue

February and Valentine's Day always makes me a little sentimental.  I start thinking about how much I love my family and friends and realize how blessed I am.  We made Valentine's layouts in January, so I focused the February layout on friends.  I chose to make this page about my best friend Erin Ridley.  Erin is one of the most fun, caring, creative, generous, and accepting people I know.  She truly is an inspiration to me. I am soooo lucky to have her as a friend.  Honestly, without her I'm not sure if I would have been able to continue with my Stampin' Up! business.  As much as I love being a demonstrator, with my full-time job it's not always easy to find the time and energy to create each month.  Not only has Erin helped me design some fantastic projects, she hosts a Stamp Camp for me each month that keeps me motivated when my own camp reservations are down. In case you're wondering why I rarely post pictures on my pages, my scrapbookers prefer to see the layouts without them so they can focus on the design elements without being distracted by how cute my family and friends are :)

January 2010 Page of the Month - Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin'

The Love Sparkles Simply Scrappin' kit is one of my favorites out of the 2009-1010 Idea Book.  As soon as I saw it, I knew we'd be using it for our Page of the Month Club.  Look at the three layouts we created using one Simply Scrappin' kit, some embellishments and just a little bit of extra cardstock!  That's 6 pages out of one kit.  In my book, the Simply Scrappin' kits are one of the best bargains Stampin' Up! has to offer. 

 

 

December 2009 Page of the Month

If you're wondering why December's Page of the Month isn't a holiday layout, for Page of the Month we work one month in advance.  The January layout is usually celebrates a birthday rather than a New Year's page.  This month I used the Happy B-day Simply Scrappin' kit designer paper that I had left over from the Happy B-day Stamp-a-Stack kit and featured the Just Perfect Alphabet stamp set. In my opinion, you can never have too many alphabet stamp sets if you like to scrapbook.  We also used the Big Shot Alphabet Simple letters that have become a huge favorite of my scrapbook club.  Notice how we punched up the letters just by adding some highlight lines with a white gel pen. 

February 2010 Card of the Month and Stamp Camp

Because the hours I spend at my 9 to 5 (I wish) job, I had to figure out a way to trim designing hours.  I've decided to use the projects I design for my monthly Card of the Month Club as my Stamp Camp projects.  That way I can feature a particular stamp set for Stamp Camp and offer the attendees a special Stamps & Camp deal.  Basically, if someone orders the featured stamp set, they will get Stamp Camp at half price. 

This month our featured set is Vintage Vogue from the Occasions Mini.  The attendees at Stamp Camp get to choose how many of each card they would like to make, up to 8 cards.  They can also purchase additional cards for a small fee, but their basic Stamp Camp fee includes the first 8.  It's a Card Buffet!  Here are the card designs they will be choosing from.  As you can see, I've also thrown in a St. Patrick's Card as a choice so they can share the luck of the Irish.  The four most popular selections will be used for our Card of the Month kit.
