June 2009 Page of the Month
Independence Day

I wanted to do something a little different with the Independence Day stamp set. At first, my plan was to create a Fourth of July page, but then I thought why not create a design that could be for the 4th, or maybe another occasion if someone doesn't have pictures for Independence Day?  Looking at the stamps in the set, I realized that the designs would make a fun birthday page too.  


June 2009 By stampin' the stars in a variety of Bold Bright colors the page took on a whole new feeling.  We added flames over the wick of the firecrackers to make them look like candles.  To make the candles SPARKLE (and we know I LOVE sparkles), we added Dazzlin' Diamonds with a two-way glue pen.  

You could easily change this into a Fourth of July layout just by changing the colors to Red, White, Yellow, and Blue only.  Leave the flames off the firecrackers, change the Happy Birthday to You to a flag, Happy Fourth of July, or God Bless America. One of my stampers liked this idea so much that she stamped one of each!
