September 2008 - Page of the Month

Happy to say that I had time to stamp this weekend.  Here's our Page of the Month for September.  Look how easy it is to change the whole theme of a layout just by eliminating a word or two.  Here, I've taken our Halloween layout, removed the "Trick or Treat" sentiment and the Pumpkin face and it's now a great layout for Thanksgiving.  Of course, I'd probably take it a little further and add a title like Thankful for You if I wanted to capture the memories of Thanksgiving, but you get the idea.  This layout features the wonderful Autumn Harvest stamp set and the fabulous new Chocolate Chip 1" Double-Stitched grosgrain ribbon.  I love how the ribbon adds that extra touch of texture to the layout.

Halloween Garland - Part II

Okay, so I know that I posted the 2008 Halloween Garland before, but as soon as I created it I realized I used retired chipboard letters...argh.  Since I have several demonstrators planning to offer this as a class for their clients I changed the garland to include current supplies.  I've decided to enter the garland in Shelli's Halloween Creative Challenge this month...so please wish me luck!  If you would like to order this garland, let me know which letters you prefer.  I'm posting both pictures so you can see them side by side.  Thanks! 

Halloween Stamp Camp - October 3 and 4

Cards for a Cause - October 11

August Card of the Month - A Flower for All Seasons

Halloween Chipboard Photo Album

Erin's done it again!  She and I got together Friday night to create as many projects as possible.  We enjoy each other's company so much that I can't say we accomplished a ton, but we had a great time and managed to get a couple of cute items for Halloween done.  Erin made this darling chipboard photo album that's perfect for capturing the memories and antics of your favorite treat-or-treaters!  This album has room for plenty of photos.  There's 5 cards that slide out of the pockets that hold a picture or two on each side.  Plus, you can add photos on the pockets themselves.  We'll be creating this project at Stamp Camp on October 3 and 4, or you can order a kit.  Check out my Stampin' Up! web site for more details.  These chipboard albums are quick and easy.  They make fabulous gifts!  Here's a few sneak peeks at what's inside:

2008 Halloween Garland

Stampin' Up! retired the designer paper used on the Halloween Garland in 2007, so I had a great time creating new one with the fun Ghostly Greeting paper.  Once again, I've used the Batty for You stamp set because it's just so darn cute!  The special addition to this garland is a spot for you to add a picture of your favorite little goblins!  I would have added a picture of my boys, but the truth is...I was a terrible photographer when they were small.  It's embarassing!  Why didn't someone tell me that you didn't need a picture of the whole house when they're standing on the doorstep!?!?!?  Sheesh!  The good news is that I've since taken several photography classes and years from now when I have them, you WILL be able to see the FACES of my grandchildren in my pictures!

Garlands, Garlands and more Garlands!

Thanks to the wonderful Patty Bennett, several of you have asked if I have garland banner kits available for other holidays...Yes, I do! If you're interested in purchasing a garland featuring retired products, I may substitute the latest and greatest designer papers and products from Stampin' Up!, but they'll be just as cute...I promise! This is good news for those of you who are Stampin' Up!
