Greetings from Denver, Colorado...the site of the 2007 Stampin' Up! Convention! I'm here with thousands of my closest friends celebrating the new Fall/Winter Collection Catalog and all that Stampin' Up! has in store for us in the upcoming year! As usual, we're having a blast meeting new friends, swapping cards, eating, shopping and learning new techniques. I wish I could share this experience with each and every one of you! Wait! Actually...I can! All you need to do is sign up to be part of my fabulous, wonderful, terrific, fun Sparkles Team! Come on! Ask me how you can join in on the fun at Convention 2008 next July!
Instead of checking in right away our group decided to hit the Memento Mall first. Stampin' Up! always provides special items that can only be purchased by Convention attendees. This year there were magnets, clothing, ribbon charms, jewelry, mini catalog bags, hats, and cozy pajamas. My cart was definitely full! Checking in at Convention is always a treat. From the moment you register, the gifts start coming. This year we received a pretty blue shoulder bag that features a spot to highlight a scrapbook page. Inside there was a brand new spiral bound catalog, a Make & Take folder full of great supplies, a water bottle, pen, Convention pin and 3 stamp sets. I was a little anxious while checking in because this is the time we find out if we have qualified for additional awards. I was hoping my sales for 2007 would qualify me for Founder's Circle once more, but came up just a little bit short. I did however, receive an additional 3 free stamp sets and you can't beat that!
The pajama party was a blast! Music blaring, balloons, games, prizes and stamping with thousands of crazy, fun-lovin' men and women all in one big room!!! Wow!
This was Make & Take night. The projects were great! I can't wait to show you all the beautiful things we made. Yes, you can expect some new classes coming your way soon! Wait until you see what you can do with the Crop-A-Dile...Oh my! That's a class in it's self! We'll also be having some new home decor and perfect party projects soon, so be sure to check my website often for class details.
The rest of our time here consisted of classes and demonstrations that have our minds racing a mile a minute. Of course, I want to show you everything NOW, but I'll have to be a little patient and figure out how we can squeeze it all in. One thing I'll definitely be focusing on in the near future is themed and fundraising events. If you're looking for a way to raise money for a group, sports team or school...think about stamping. Wouldn't it be great if you could raise money for the team banquet just by gathering a group of friends together to create a terrific, customized scrapbook that will capture the memories of a great season? Do you know a group of Moms wanting to put together a scrapbook for their graduating Senior? Maybe you know someone looking for wedding or baby shower invitations? Can you imagine how special it would be to have beautiful, hand-stamped, one-of-a-kind invitations, decorations and thank you notes designed especially for you? Let's work together to raise money for what matters most to you through creativity!
I can't believe how fast the time has flown by! We're packed and ready to board our flights home. Always a little sad that Convention is over, but excited to get back home to the stampin' studio and my family. I'm so happy for my friends, Lynsay, Catherine, Barbara and Tami who were chosen for the Advisory Board...woo-hoo! These are fabulous women who will represent all of us well. And for my dear friend Sherrie who received a well-deserved trip to Founder's Circle. Way to go ladies! I'm so proud of all of you!
finally!! I've been checking every day to see if you'd posted anything!!
Glad to see you had a wonderful time!
